Rubber bands are widely used, and there are many types and styles. So what methods can we generally use to test the quality of rubber bands? Rubber band quality testing is divided into three parts, namely, raw material quality control, processing technology control, and finished product quality control.
Control of the quality of rubber band raw materials: Before the raw materials are used, they must be inspected in accordance with regulations, and they can only be put into production if they are qualified.
Rubber band process monitoring: Monitor the operation of various process equipment and their parameters at all times. The quality of semi-finished products in each process must be inspected, usually using a combination of instrumental and visual methods. The quick inspection of rubber materials includes the plasticity inspection of plasticized rubber roll by roll and the density, hardness, plasticity, vulcanization curve, dispersion and other partial inspections of mixed rubber roll by roll. Calendering and extrusion will inspect its thickness and appearance quality at any time, and observe whether the cross section of the extruded hose is dense. During vulcanization, it is also necessary to observe whether there are any problems and solve any problems at any time.
The quality control of rubber band finished products (performance testing of rubber bands) includes two aspects:
1. Material performance: It includes tensile strength, elongation, hardness, stability, fracture strength, thermal aging, fatigue resistance, wear resistance, etc. This is a routine test and the most important test. It directly determines the quality of rubber bands and can control the production process;
2. Performance of rubber band finished products: This directly and accurately reflects the actual situation of rubber bands:
① Rubber band anatomy experiment.
② Directly test the properties such as strength and elongation.
③ Finished product simulation experiment.
④ Practical experiment.
